Bring your

loose change to church

on November 3

and help change a life.

It's that easy.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ calls us to look at our neighbor, our community, our State, country, and the world.  It is that last one that this ministry focuses on.

Advent Lutheran Church sponsors an African child through

Compassion International from Burkina Faso.

It costs $464 per year to sponsor this child.

Our support provides life-changing opportunities such as:

  • an opportunity to attend or stay in school

  • medical care, which often saves lives

  • nourishing food

  • mentoring and a safe environment through a local evangelical church

  • and most important, opportunities to hear the gospel.

Meet Wendkouni!

Wendkouni is our new Compassion International Student that Advent Lutheran Church is sponsoring as of October 2024! She was born July 31, 2013. She lives in Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in West Africa. She loves art. She enjoys Bible stories and has attended VBS. Both of her parents are living. Her mom is a homemaker, and her dad sometimes works as a janitor. She has one sister.

Advent’s senior high will communicate with her through letters throughout the year to get to know her a little and let her know we are praying for her and her family.
